About The Victim's Game
The story of a detective with asperger syndrome is told in the Taiwan-made action and tension-filled series The Victims’ Game, which Netflix met with its audience in April 2020.
The detective, who has not seen his daughter for many years, finds several links about his daughter in a murder file he investigates. It is not clear what awaits the detective who falls into a dangerous and tension-filled investigation.
The murders committed in the series are handled skillfully and in a very mysterious way. So much so that the killer’s victims seem to render their bodies unrecognizable with various chemicals. Until now, the only known thing about the murders is that the detective’s daughter with asperger syndrome is the only perpetrator.
Detective Fang Yi-Jen, who tries to unravel her daughter’s connection to the events at all costs, will force her colleagues and those around her in this process.
TV series with detective and detective subjects always have a certain audience. However, what makes The Victims’ Game different is that the main character is sick. The series, which has a charm with this aspect, is extremely successful in event fiction and scenario.
The Victim’s Game, whose camera shoots, casting and acting performances are even above Netflix quality, has become one of the most successful series of recent days.
Netflix announced that The Victims’ Game, a Chinese language Netflix original series, will return for a second season with the original production team, led by award-winning producers Hank Tseng and Phil Tang of Greener Grass Production.
The Victims’ Game Season 2 marks the global streaming brand’s first renewal of original Chinese languages production. The new season is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix in 2022.
“From script to screen we are proud to have created The Victims’ Game as an entirely original IP from Taiwan,” said Tseng and Tang. “This renewal with Netflix is a milestone for the local entertainment industry to set foot on the global stage. It is time to unleash the limitless potential of original stories from Taiwan. We are excited to confirm that directors David Chuang and Allen Chen, as well as the production team will reunite on set. We are incredibly excited to bring Season 2 to viewers around the world, which will be even more thrilling and captivating than the first.”
After its global premiere on April 30th this year, The Victims’ Game has received raving reviews from fans and industry accolades, including eight nominations from the 55th Golden Bell Awards in Taiwan, making it one of the frontrunners in the prestigious awards.
