“Hoarders” is an often painful look inside a disease that can bury its sufferer — literally at times — in its symptoms. Each hourlong episode profiles two people on the verge of a personal crisis, all caused by the fact that they are unable to part with even the tiniest possessions, and the cumulative effect becomes a mountain of junk and garbage overtaking their home or apartment. If they don’t respond to professional help, the consequences sometimes involve eviction, kids being taken away, or even jail time.
Returning for its 12th season, “Hoarders” explores the world of extreme hoarding and provides an in-depth look at real-life stories of those directly affected by compulsive hoarding. Over the course of eight, 2-hour episodes, viewers are introduced to individuals from across the country as a team of experts try to help clean out their massive hoards and help to set these individuals up for future success. Psychologists Dr. Robin Zasio and Dr. David Tolin work in tandem to extreme clean up experts Matt Paxton, Cory Chalmers, Dorothy Breininger and new expert Brandon Bronaugh in an effort to help these families deal with a hoarding crisis of epic magnitude.
Returning for its 12th season, “Hoarders” follows a team of experts as they tackle some of the nation’s most challenging hoards while giving viewers an in-depth look at the emotional stories of those dealing with compulsive hoarding behaviors. New season premieres Monday, March 22 at 8pm ET/PT. #Hoarders
